Announcement of CNCA on clarifying the requirements related to the revision of standards for the mandatory certification of electronic products and safety accessories
Two new national standards, GB 4943.1-2022 “Audio/video,information and communication technology equipment - Part 1: Safety requirements” and GB/T 9254.1-2021 “Information technology equipment, multimedia equipment and receivers - Electromagnetic compatibility - Part 1: Emission requirements” have been issued. Four national standards, GB 4943.1-2011, GB 8898-2011 and GB/T 9254-2008 and GB/T 13837-2012, were revised and integrated. To ensure the orderly implementation of mandatory product certification of electronic products and safety accessories, the relevant requirements are hereby clarified as follows:
1. The list of standards for "the implementation rules of mandatory product certification of audio and video equipment" (CNCA-C08-01:2014), "the implementation rules of mandatory product certification of information technology equipment" (CNCA-C09-01:2014) and“the implementation rules of mandatory product certification of telecommunication terminal equipment” (CNCA-C16-01:2014) related to electronic products and safety accessories are revised (see annex).
2. The deadline for the version change of the two new standard certificates is unified to July 31, 2024, so that enterprises only have to apply for and submit samples once to complete the version change of the two standard certificates. The transitional period of certificate change is arranged to facilitate the certificate change of certified enterprises and reduce the cost of certificate change, rather than delaying the implementation date of standards. Relevant products should comply with the "Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China" and "Law on Product Quality".
